National Jewelry Day

                                                  shirt// necklace// boots
Today is National Jewelry Day, so I bought myself a House of Harlow necklace. Well, I found out it's jewelry day afterr I bought the necklace, but still it's very fitting :) I've really been wanting a House of Harlow necklace but so many people have them and it wasn't worth the money to me, but I found this color today and I haven't seen anyone with it yet so I had to get it. And I need more long necklace diversity in my life since I wear Kendra Scott necklaces literally every single day. So so excited about my purchase :)
Did y'all buy anything special for National Jewelry Day?!

New Facial Products

(creepy huh?)

So I was on the way home from Washington DC with mama (we had been visiting Hayden) and we had to stop in WalMart for a pee pee stop. While I was there I saw the IlluMask and I thought it looked really cool and it was only $30 and I ended up trying it when I got it for my birthday! I've used it almost every day since then (but i'm not perfect..) and I have noticed positive results after being hallway through the 30 uses! My skin's overall quality just seems better. It feels smoother and I have only had one blemish this week as opposed to having three. And it's been a while since i've had one. When I do get a blemish they are also not as painful, big, and red. It's sometimes hard to sit still for 15 minutes everyday, but I definitely recommend this product. (It always brings a good laugh too) You can purchase it here or find it in Ulta, Walmart, and Target.

I also have recently had my first trip into a Lush store, where I found this Catastrophe Cosmetic fresh handmade mask. I think it's so cool because they make it right there in the store with fresh fruits and ingredients and keep it on ice.  It looks so good you'll want to eat it! You have to keep it in the refrigerator to keep the ingredients from spoiling so it feels nice and cool on your skin. This one is to deep clean and prevent breakouts. Like I mentioned before, my skin's overall quality has improved and acne has decreased and I can't say if it's all from the IlluMask or all from the Lush mask, but i'd like to say they've been working together. There are a lot of other ones I want to try too!

Lastly, this moisturizer that I just purchased isn't necessarily "new" to me because I used it for a long time a while back and I swear by it, but I had to switch to a moisturizer for acne. Now that I've tamed my acne I switched back to it. I love this moisturizer because I feel like I can trust in it's quality to take good care of my skin. Mine is the oil free kind to prevent any potential acne breakouts so it's the gel version. You can shop that link or find it at the Clinique counter at Belk.

Do any of y'all use these products?!

New Weather, New Stuff

This week has been a warmish week and if you ask me, spring/summer colors can be worn year round, so i've been experimenting with transition clothing using some new favorite pieces and my obsession with Piko. (Although, I would much rather be bronzing on a tropical island like everyone else)

In my first outfit I am wearing a super comfy and soft Piko dress, which I accented with my leopard Jack Rogers and Kendra Scott necklace that I've previously posted about, my Rebecca Minkoff purse that is out of stock but you can find a similar color and other colors here, and a scarf I bought in Spain two years ago. This was such a comfy and effortless outfit, it just reminded me of how badly I need to get some sun! #pasty

In the second outfit I am wearing a Piko shirt and jeans accented with the same accessories. Psst if you buy the shirt from here it's only $17, opposed to the $28 that I spent for it in stores!
I love how my new accessories have added so much style, color, and flavor to the simplicity of my two new clothing items!
hope you like!

New Fashion Pieces

These two pieces have been recently featured in my last couple instagram posts. In the spring/summer I pretty much only wear Jack Rogers and my Tory Burch sandals. I cried when I saw these leopard Jack Rogers in Nordstrom last year (not really but I got really excited). I got these for Christmas and have just now been able to (barely) get away with wearing them. I can no longer find them on jackrogers.com but I found them here in a lot of sizes. If you have a Nordstrom in your area, you can probably find them there as well.
"As far as i'm concerned, leopard is a neutral."

Another one of my new favorites is my Kendra Scott Rayne necklace in turquoise that I got for my birthday. Their Rayne necklaces are my best friend; I wear one almost every single day… Turquoise is such a bright and pretty color that goes with almost anything and after pink and leopard it is my favorite color. You can find it here!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Merry Chritmas Eve, loves!! I am wearing my red, green, and gold today!
Minus the hoops, I got this whole getup for $30! (Gotta love sales) I got this sweater from Forever 21 and I just purchased this necklace a couple days ago from purpleperidot.com and I am in love! I was so happy to find it in the mailbox like an hour ago! They are still available if you're looking for a flashy statement piece for New Years parties and it's on sale!
I'm headed back over to mema's house for the rest of the night and I might get a notion to make a video showing y'all what I got from mema this morning!
Merry Christmas I love you all. May your next couple days be filled with fattening food, family, love, and cheer.

Merry Christmas Adam!!

Merry Christmas Adam, y'all!! A lot of people call today Christmas Eve Eve, but my family and I call it Christmas Adam (First came Adam then there was Eve, get it?). Whatever you call it, I hope you are enjoying your day! Mama and me are recently kind of tired of drinking Starbucks (literally) everyy single day-- we can only take so much caramel brûlée!-- so we're recently obsessed with discovering little coffee shops. Yesterday we found Jessie's in Chapel Hill and today we are at one of our favorite cafés in Greenville, The Scullery. (It's my fav because I can write on the tables) Now we're going home to cook for tomorrow! And then probably spending more time on the couch. That's what Christmas break is all about! Coffee, spending time with family, relaxing, and thanking God for all our blessings and the birth of Jesus. I hope you all are spending your Christmas Adam just as you would like.

Merry Christmas,

PS!! I've made a few changes to the blog and I'm going to try to post more but we'll see how this coming up semester treats me... Hayden will soon be in DC for four months working in the White House, so until he comes back I'm going to try to have a semester of lots of studying and Jesus and some exercising and blogging. New Years resolution? Anyways, I'm not really familiar with blogger so if anyone has any suggestions pretty please help ya girl out!

Today's bible verse:

And it came to pass, while they were there, the days were fulfilled that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son; and she wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

Black Friday Shopping Outfit & Sunnies Details

This outfit features a few of (most of) my winter favorites. This coat is the bomb dot com! It is my favorite winter coat because the pattern is simple enough to mix with other patterns like i've done here and the best part is that it's from Target! And the best part for you is that it's also on clearance now! You can buy it here. You can also see the buttons in the link, my favorite part of the coat. My top is from J Crew Factory with a thin sweatshirt texture in the middle and blouse texture on the sleeves with a pattern not seen here. I couldn't find it on the website but the closest thing I could find can be found here and is an extra 30% off. My scarf was purchased from Loft a couple years ago.
Boots: Sam Edelman (soon to be replaced with Frye!)
Necklace: Kendra Scott, always a favorite

My Karen Walker lookalikes were only five dollars. FIVE dollars! I really want a pair of Karen Walker's, but I don't take care of sunglasses very well, I just throw them in the bottom of my purse.. So for now I will wear my lookalikes. Find them here!
